Audio Message:  THANK YOU!!!  ...I loved hearing all the positive responses to my audio message yesterday .....you made my day!!    Someone ask how did I come up with the idea ... and I thought I would share it with you ... especially because it's how I come up with almost everything I've done on my blog for the past 5 -1/2 years. 

So ...the story is ...as I was typing my blog post yesterday ... it occurred to me that my message would be easier if I could just talk.   So ... that got me to thinking about the conference calls I had last week with my downline and business coach.  On conference calls and you have the option of recording (if you pay extra).... so that made me think "can I just record a message" ..."not on a phone call" .... so I googled "how to get audio files posted on a blog"  .... I then spent the next hour re-wording that question until I found my answer.  The first one I found the quality was low and it's was flash & that meant it would not work on iPhone or iPad and I can't have that ...so I went to Google again and found my answer ..... it took some digging but I got it.  That's brings me to my next subject ....

How did I get here:  I've had several people ask me how I got to where I'm at in my Stampin Up business.... that's a really good question. I guess I need to share "My Why".... but it's long story .. so I can't go into it today.  But ... I'm thinking of doing a video or audio message to share with you...if you attended some of my UStreams you've heard bits & pieces.   The thing I want to share today ...whether you're one of my customers or a Stampin Up friend .... don't ever give up on something you want.  I tried for years & years ...and just when I was about to give up ...I made some changes and then it happened ...almost like meeting my husband ... at the age of 24 I was sure I would never find the man of my dreams and just when I thought I was done ... he appeared :)

Holy cow ...  too much information today ...but I want everyone out there to always have HOPE.  I tell my kids ...there isn't anything we can't fix or get through together .... and there isn't anything you can't do if you set your mind to it ...you have to BELIEVE it.  The biggest battle is believing.  When Chase and Brooke were little ...I taught them how to rollerblade by learning how myself ... right in front of them and I have two left feet (not really but I'm a klutz) .... they saw me fall down a bunch ...but I kept picking myself up and each time they would laugh at me.  After two days ...all three of us were roller blading (I have since quit after falling and breaking a bone).

Sorry for the long post today ... I'm not sure why I feel so wordy ... I hope I haven't scared you off!

Office/email day

I'm trying something new today ... you can either read my blog post below or listen to the audio message. I'm going to have an office day today and I'll be getting caught up on my emails and doing some paperwork. (And .... filming some videos if I can get my husband out of the house.)

One of my customers reminded me that the 2010-2012 In-Colors are retiring this year ... (how will I live without Pear Pizzazz?) and the current Idea Book & Catalog is ending at the end of May.  So, if you LOVE the  In Colors and you don't want to miss out ... you may want to think about stocking up on them now ... during Sale-a-bration.  Plus we all know those retiring items SELL OUT FAST.

Paper Doily Thank you

My card today was made with the Paper Doily Sizzlit Die & the Curly Cute stamp set.

We used Wisteria Wonder card stock with the Flirtatious Designer Paper and the greeting was stamped with Concord Crush ink.

We scalloped the edges of the Whisper White card stock with the Scallop Edge Border Punch, added the DSP & then tied the White Organza Ribbon around it.

If you're having trouble with getting the little pieces of paper out of your Paper Doily Die ...try adding some packing tape to the die and it should help.

Everybunny Treat Holder

My project today is the Everybunny Treat Holder and we made this at Stamp Club yesterday.

I used the Labels Framelits to make it and I'll have a video ready in a few days ... and yes I'd be happy to do a video on yesterdays card as well.

I created this project after I checked out the candy selection at Walgreens ...I discovered that the Easter candy is smaller than the Valentine candy.  For example the Kit Kat bars are one strip instead of two :)  You'll see what I mean in the video.

The darling chick is from the Everybunny stamp set and I stamped it with Black Stazon ink onto Shimmery White card stock and then colored the image with the Aqua Painter with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeaid.  I added Dazzling Details for the circles on the egg.

The Happy Easter greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and I cut it out with the Word Window Punch.

My first Everybunny Card

My card today is the first project I've made with the Everybunny stamp set ...and I love it!!!

I used the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper that's in the Sale-a-bration catalog along with Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Soft Suede.  I really wanted to use Lucky Limeaid card stock ....but since my other Stamp Club project uses Pear Pizzazz I decided to go out of my comfort zone and use other colors :)

I stamped the bunny with Black Stazon ink onto Watercolor Paper and colored it with the Aqua Painter.

Everybunny Easter Card

Fresh Vintage Treat Pouch

My project today is the Fresh Vintage Treat Pouch.  I made it using the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper & the Fresh Vintage stamp set ....both items are featured in the Sale-a-bration catalog.

This little Treat Pouch is one of the items I'm working on for my "After Sale-a-bration Class".  I'm stocking up on the extras and will offer a class sometime in April (local & in the mail).  I haven't decided between this one and another ... I still need to tweak a few things.

Valentine Treats

Good morning & Happy Valentine's Day!!

My project today is a Valentine Treat Holder & they are really quick and easy to make ..... I usually make them for Halloween.  Click here if you'd like to see the Halloween version that I made back in 2009.

I used the Sweet Shop Designer Paper for each of them and it measures 2-1/2 x 3-1/2.  I stapled the candy inside the holder before adding the DSP.

You can get three out of one sheet of card stock.  Cut the card stock at 8-1/2 x 2-3/4 and then score it at 3-3/4 & 4-3/4.

I used three stamp sets for them ... P.S. I love you on the Wisteria Wonder version.  Sprinkled Expressions on the Calypso Coral and Outlined Occasions for the Lucky Limeaid version.

Valentine Basket

My project today is a Valentine Basket that I made with the Sweet Shop Designer Paper and the P.S. I Love you stamp set.  

I used a piece of 6  x 6 white card stock to make the basket and 6 pieces of the Sweet Shop DSP that measures 1-7/8 x 1-7/8.

Sorry I wasn't able to post anything on Thursday and Friday!!!  I had a root canal on Wednesday and then I had to take my computer into the Apple store and have them help me move some video files (everyting is okay ... I just needed to clear up some space on my main hard drive).

UStream Fans ... we have a situation ... UStream informed me that I need to pay $99 a month to continue ... but that isn't an option.  So, I'm looking for other options but I'm not sure where to start.  I'm open to suggestions ...I tried to load them on You Tube but it said the length was too long ...so I deleted 20 videos.  As soon as I figure something out I'll you know.  Downline girls .... we're using Go To Meetings this month... check "events" under our team site.

Stamp Set of the Month Club

Mouthwatering is the Stamp Set of the Month for February and this card is one they'll be receiving with their stamp set. 

This is a Trifold card and I colored the images with markers and I used Soft Suede, Lucky Limeaid and Melon Mambo.  On the inside it says "Happy Birthday".

I embossed the Soft Suede card stock with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Here's another one that I CASED from Leadership.  I'm not sure who created it but I loved it so much I had to copy it!!

Fresh Vintage Birthday Card

My card today was made with three of the items from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  I used the Fresh Vintage Stamp set for the background.  The "Happy Birthday" greeting is from the Elementary Elegance stamp set and the Butterfly is made with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper.

The base of this card is Naturals Ivory and the layers are Lucky Limeaid, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede.

I scalloped the edges of the Soft Suede card stock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.

Elementary Elegance Card

My card today was made using the Elementary Elegance Stamp set  and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper and both items can be found in the Sale-a-bration catalog. 

The base of the card is Naturals Ivory and I layered it with Baja Breeze.  The butterfly was made by using the Butterfly punch with the DSP and then I added Linen Thread and a Pearl. 

This was my warm up card ....tomorrow I'll show you another version.

My Chic n Scratch Feb Thank You Card

Today I'm sharing with you My Chic n Scratch February Thank you card.

I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set out of the Occasions MIni Catalog ...with the Blossoms Punch.  The colors are Lucky Limeaid and Island Indigo.

The "Just for you" greeting is from the Tea Shoppe stamp set also featured in the Occasions Mini.

This month I used the Note Cards that we sell in our Stampin Up Catalog on page 182.  They measure 3-1/2 x 5 and you use a regular postage stamp to mail them.

Top Note Reese's Holder

My project today is the Top Note Reese's Holder and I made it with the Sweet Shop Designer Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I used the Top Note die to make it and I used one Whisper White Top Note and two cut out of the Sweet Shop DSP ... I'll try to explain ... if you just folded the top note in half ..the hearts would be upside down on one side.

I used the Sweet Shop Designer Paper in the Occasions Mini Catalog along with the Got Treats Stamp Set.

I embossed the Pool Party card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and added the Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon to close it.

I colored the image with Stampin Write Markers and I used:  Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeaid, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party (all the colors used on the Sweet  Shop DSP).

Scallop Valentine Box

We learned how to make this Scallop Valentine Box at Leadership.... and the one they shared with us had some cute little cards ... so I made one to hold candy and one to hold cards.

The scallop box is made out of the Scallop Square Die and you score it at 3 scallops on two sides and score it at 2 scallops on the other side.

I used the P.S. I love you stamp set with Real Red and Early Espresso ink. And the punches I used include:  1" Circle, 1-3/8 Circle, Small Heart and the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle.

The little Valentine Cards measure 4-1/2 x 2-1/4, scored at 2-1/4 and on March 1st you'll be able to order the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (#125586 $11.95) ...  it allows you to score at a diagonal to create envelopes, boxes and more!!  You're going to love it!!

Framelits Treat Holder

Shelli showed us how to make this darling treat holder with the Framelits last week at the Stampin Up Leadership meeting.

  I love going to all the meetings and getting new ideas ... when I saw her demonstrate this project (a little differently ...she used the Apothecary Art stamp set) I couldn't wait to get home and make one!!

I used the Labels Collection Framelits with Peach Parfait Textured Card Stock to make the holder.

I stamped the flower from the Mixed Bunch stamp set with Pear Pizzazz ink and then cut it out with the Blossom Punch.... then added a Designer Printed Brad to the center.

The strip in the middle is two pieces that I cut out with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and layered on top a 3/4" piece of DSP. (I should have used Pear Pizzazz but I think I may have used Certainly Celery ...I love that it works either way.)

I've filmed a video and I'm working on the editing now .. hopefully I'll have it ready late this afternoon.
